Mike has been in the real estate industry for 36 years. Prior to founding Blue Light, he was an original partner at HFF and was part of the Executive/ Management team that took the company public in 2007. He was also part of the executive/management team that completed the sale of HFF to JLL in 2019 for $2bb. Most recently, Mike ran the capital markets business for JLL in the Northeast with direct management responsibility for over 300 employees. During his twenty-six years at HFF/JLL, he completed over $51bb in transactions and was widely recognized as one of the leading intermediaries in the US. Prior to HFF/JLL, he spent six years at Travelers Insurance Company and four years at Legg Mason Real Estate Services. Mike graduated from Skidmore College and has an MBA from Fordham University.

Mr. Burton has over 15 years of commercial real estate credit experience and was most recently the managing partner and founder of Needham Point Capital prior to joining Blue Light to lead the credit strategy. Prior to founding Needham Point Capital, he served as the Head of Originations at Calmwater Capital where he oversaw the sourcing, structuring, and execution of all investment opportunities. During his time at Calmwater he sourced and closed over $600MM of debt investments across 25 transactions, throughout all major asset classes. Mr. Burton sat on the Management Team within Calmwater and had oversight of the Origination and Marketing efforts of the firm. Prior to joining Calmwater in 2018, Mr. Burton was a Vice President at Garrison Investment Group where he was responsible for Garrison’s US commercial real estate lending platform. While at Garrison, Mr. Burton was also directly involved in the sourcing, underwriting, and management of over $2B of sub-performing and non-performing commercial real estate debt. Mr. Burton began his career in the commercial real estate banking group at Anglo Irish Bank in New York. Mr. Burton received a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado – Boulder.

Mr. Lim has over 16 years of experience in commercial real estate and was most recently a partner and co-founder of Needham Point Capital prior to joining Blue Light to lead the credit strategy. He was previously a Director of Underwriting and Credit at Calmwater Capital where he oversaw underwriting, due diligence, and closing of financing opportunities for transitional and distressed assets, as well as construction projects. Mr. Lim closed over $1.6B of senior secured bridge loans, mezz loans, and preferred equity investments across 70 transactions during his time at Calmwater. Prior to Calmwater, Mr. Lim was an Investment Manager at Invest West Financial/Pacifica Hotels, where he completed nearly $300MM in acquisitions, redevelopment, dispositions, and financing of hotels, and has worked at PKF Consulting and Hyatt Hotels. Mr. Lim received an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Hotel Management from Cal Poly Pomona. He holds a real estate broker license in California and is fluent in Korean.

Katie Martucci is the Chief Administrative Officer at Blue Light Capital, where she plays a pivotal role in overseeing the company's administrative functions and ensuring operational efficiency. Katie also contributes as an assistant in human resources, fostering a positive work environment and promoting employee well-being. With a strong background in administration and human resources, Katie combines her organizational skills and people-centric approach to drive the success and growth of Blue Light Capital. Katie played Division I volleyball for Providence College and later graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Sociology from the University of Delaware.

Carly currently serves as the Director of Marketing & Communications for Blue Light Capital and BL Next. She oversees internal and external communication strategies to support student-athletes, university partners, corporate partners, and mentors within the BL Next Athletic Alliance. She leads Blue Light’s marketing efforts to drive awareness of the brand and mission and increase engagement within the community. Carly also works as Assistant Director of the Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate at Villanova University. She creates valuable opportunities for Villanova students to acquire skills, knowledge, and experiences in the commercial real estate industry. She is deeply committed to supporting students to ensure they reach their full potential. Carly holds an MBA from Villanova University, with specializations in Marketing, Real Estate, and Finance, as well as a BA in Advertising from Penn State University.
