13+ years in CRE debt origination, executed $2B+ in real estate investments across Marathon Asset Management, Kennedy Wilson, ACORE Capital, and now leading West Coast Originations at Blue Light
Chris has been in the commercial real estate industry for over 13 years. He was most recently running West Coast Originations for Marathon Asset Management prior to joining Blue Light to open the West Coast office and lead West Coast Originations efforts. Before joining Marathon, he was a senior originator at Kennedy Wilson and ACORE Capital, both based in Los Angeles. During his time in Los Angeles, Chris has originated and closed over $2B of debt investments across all major property types nationwide, as well as being directly involved in the closing of a $5.7B loan portfolio acquisition. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Chris worked at Colony Capital within their publicly traded mortgage REIT, as well as at HFF in Boston. At HFF, Chris was directly involved in closing over $4B of total transactions across predominantly debt and equity placements. Chris began his career on the equity side of the real estate business in New York focused on acquisitions and development. Chris received a BA in Economics and International Relations from Wheaton College and captained the varsity soccer team, and has a Masters in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.
